ZachAttackParticipantSo as many of you know, I’ve recently been accused of not thoroughly voicing my opinion and being too scared of negs. (cough* T Rex cough*) So I’m about to voice my real opinion and make my 10 Bold Predictions.
#1 CJ McCollum will be an above average but not quite border line All Star SG this year.
#2 Gordon Hayward will be an All-Star next year
#3 Emmanuel Mudiay will be the best player out of this draft class
#4 Jabari Parker will be an All-Star in 2 years
#5 Marcus Smart will never be an All-Star, though he will put up numbers that will put him into consideration
#6 The Kings will sneak into the playoffs (Not sure if that’s bold, but right now they’re a mess)
#7 Anthony Davis will be this year’s MVP
#8 Kevin Durant is not going to be near the same level he was on before the injury. Won’t be a top 10 player anymore.
#9 Kevin Durant will leave for the Wizards the end of this season
#10 The Cavs will not win the Finals, and LBJ will leave after this season.
Let me know what you all think of these, these are my honest opinions that I guess I’ve been too scared to voice.

Reptilian MonkParticipant1. Very possible
2. I don’t see Hayward as an All star next year in the West but there is a chance the Jazz are an improving team
3. Mudiay is very talented and could be best player in this draft.
4/5. Agreed
6. I don’t see the Kings coming together to make the playoffs but they are talented if they all buy in and play together.
7. Very Possible
8/9. I don’t see Durant regressing that badly, he is still one of the top 3 players in the league when completely healthy. I could see him getting injured again sadly with foot problem being recurrent. I would lean to him going to the Wizards also but it kind of a 50/50 chance.
10. I can see the Cavs not winning with the West so stacked but I don’t think he leaves Clevland, that would destroy his reputation and any kind of legacy he would be hated in Clevland forever.

T RexNice post Zach. Now you know how to earn the respect that doesn’t show up in your points/+1’s.
And you know that nobody likes a snitch fink.
But now, can you respond to your own comment 10 times, just by yourself? It’s harder than it looks.
And twice as crazy.

ZouldiersParticipantLets see.
1. Definitely
2. I like Hayward and all but in the West its very hard to make the all star team so no.
3. Could be true but I’m still leaning on Okafor to be the best out of that draft class
4. Definitely
5. He will at least make the all star team once.
6. I have to agree on this one. Kings are talented so yeah it could happen
7. It’s possible
8/9. He won’t regress a lot though but if they do not win the chip he could leave OKC just not sure if it is with the Wiz though.
10. Agree baby. In fact, I think they won’t make it to the finals this year but I don’t see him leaving Cleveland though.

SkalAndJamalParticipantI would not want to gamble against anything you just said except the Kings making the playoffs, they are a balloon waiting to pop. A low gamble about Jabari becoming an all-star.
#5 isnt too much of a bold prediction
If LeBron leaves that might be the most insane unsurprising thing ever haha.
I got a couple bold predictions I’d like to voice too.
#1 Celtics will find themselves in a situation where they will tank.
#2 Okafor will put up numbers, but in reality, will never be a good piece for a winning basketball team.
#3 Knicks if not next year, the year after will be a top 4 team in the east, barring Carmelo gets injured again.

adumParticipant1. Raptors will barely make the playoffs. I think with this roster they are one injury to a starter from Falling out of the playoff picture.
2. Denver will ship out the rest of the Karl era roster and focus on Mudiay and Nurkic.
3. Wiggins will get voted in the ALLSTAR game. It’s in Toronto he’s from Toronto Canadian/Toronto fans will push like there’s no tomorrow.
4. Kevin Durant answers his "critics" with a legendary scoring game of 65 pts
5. At the end of the season Rose and Butlers relationship will strain which leads to Rose playing somewhere new in the 2016/17 season.
6. Curry finally breaks/ties the record for 3 pointers in a game.
7. The Pistons are going be a surprise team in the East
8. Stanley Johnson is the Rookie of the year
9. Cavs will trade for a vet star ( most likely Joe Johnson) and sail to the promise land
10. All series in Western Confernce first rd will go 7 games

adumParticipantLast year Canadian fans got Lowry to start over Wade and Irving.
I can see them making a big push for Wiggins if they use the Twitter hashtag voting again.
A Co-sign from Drake or the illustrious Biebs wouldn’t hurt lool.

Mr. HookShotParticipantResponse to OP
Disagree with most of your predictions, but good post though.
1 Possibly
2 Disagree, to many good players in the West on teams better than the Jazz. I don’t think he will beat out the like of Davis, Griffin, Durant, Aldridge, Cousins, Gasol, and Leonard as forward, which I think he is. As a guard, there is even less room.
3 Disagree, Towns is.
4 Disagree, I actually Parker will become the Grant Hill of his time, talented player who struggles with injuries but will still have a productive career
5 Agree
6 Disagree, but it is bold though 😉
7 Disagree, Durant will be MVP
8 Disagree
9 Disagree
10 Agree/Disagree, the will not win but LeBron will stay.0 - Posted on: Thu, 09/17/2015 - 10:33pm #1013897

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantI agree with all of them except KD regressing and LeBron leaving if they don’t win. KD is still a top 3 player in this league but if he takes a step back, it’s to because of Russ. He has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with and I can see KD kind of stepping back for him. And I believe LeBron will sink with the Cleveland ship. If he leaves he will be castrated by his hometown and the media.

CynthiaParticipantI don’t think KD will regress much at all. He’s primarily a jump shooter and shooting always ages well. If he was a player that relied almost exclusively on athletic and driving ability then yes I could see him regressing. My bigger fear is that he gets injured again and it becoming a common recurrence.
As far as Lebron, I don’t think the Cavs win it all but I don’t think he leaves. He already made that mistake once and he’s a smart business man, he knows if he does it again his reputation and sales will sink greatly. Sometimes you have to live & learn your mistakes, Lebron has been there & done that.
I may be bias, but I don’t think Durant leaves whether Thunder win the chip or not. He just seems like a loyal lifer to me. I know now days spending your career on the same team is almost unheard of, but I don’t think he leaves OKC until he’s in his 30’s chasing a chip, especially if he doesn’t win one in his prime.

ZachAttackParticipantThanks for the responses guys!
For all of you guys that don’t agree with the tenth one. I could see it happening if they screw up and don’t do something to win. But, if they make a Finals run at least, then he may stay. But a first round exit, I could see him leaving.

kazamParticipantI do not trust the Kings to sneak into a very crowded Western Conference playoff race.
I think KD will regain his true form and put this pesky foot injury behind him.
My bold predictions
1. Brad Beal takes the next step and earns a spot on the all-star team and to be in the conversation as a top SG in the league (behind Harden, Jimmy Butler and Klay).
2. Hornets sneak into the playoffs
3. Clippers struggle to mesh with a lack of floor spacing and interesting personalities
4. Jah is ROY
5. D-Rose regains form and is in contention for MVP talks with Chicago securing a 1 or 2 seed in the East.
6. Despite offseason moves Raptors struggle and limp to a 6th or 7th seed in the East.
7. Teams without a D-League affiliate realize its importance and we see a NBA teams making a push to own and establish a one-to-one affiliate.

T RexLeBron could definitely leave. It’s the same complex racial tribalism I wrote about earlier.
Dan Gilbert is religiously inclined to believe that David Blatt is a brilliant chosen one, no matter how many season-ending time outs Blatt tries to call in the playoffs.
Gilbert is already taking LeBron for granted, convinced that LeBron won’t leave Cleveland because of the potential backlash to LeBron. That’s not a great attitude for an owner to have, but it’s par for the course in the culture Donald Sterling described in detail.
Cleveland should have hired another coach after LeBron signed with them. And at the latest, Gilbert should have replaced Blatt this summer. But Gilbert will circle the wagons around his little "genius", and he’ll lose LeBron in the process.
It’s not like Gilbert and the Cavs weren’t already on probation in LeBron’s mind, and it’s not like LeBron’s legacy will be destroyed if he decides not to play the rest of his career for David freaking Blatt and SubPrime Dan Gilbert.

Andrew1984ParticipantI vehemently disagree on LeBron leaving, Durant not being a top-10 player, Marcus Smart being even remotely close to All-Star consideration, and Emmanuel Mudiay being the best player from this class.
I wholeheartedly agree with CJ McCollum being a borderline All-Star, the Kings sneaking into the playoffs, and Gordon Hayward being an All-Star.
The Jabari Parker and Anthony Davis predictions are not bold, nor is the Durant-to-Washington prediction, as it has been mentioned repeatedly by numerous media outlets.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipant1. KG, Dirk, Pierce all retire after this season. Duncan and Kobe don’t.
2. Mudiay edges out okafor to win roy.
3. Towns and Russell both struggle initially but rebound to have solid rookie seasons.
4. Oladipo, Drummond, and Leonard are all first time all stars. Wiggins isn’t yet.
5. Lebron wins his 5th MVP ( not really bold but still a prediction)
6. San Antonio gets off to a slow start incorporating Aldridge into the lineup, but come on strong at the end of the season.
7. Clippers finish with the best record in the league but find a way to come unglued in the playoffs once again.
8. Warriors suffer from championship hangover and teams better equipped to deal with style of play. Lose in second round of playoffs.
9. Okc beats sa to win west. Cleveland beats Chicago to win east.
10. Cleveland beats okc in finals. Durant gets frustrated over a lack of touches and signs with Washington in the offseason.
