10 biggest NBA draft mistakes in each of the last 10 years

I'd definitely say the Darko one overall was the biggest mistake, but Oden ended up hurting to team more as they could have had KD. I also think Adam Morrison could be on here.

Oden

32 out of 32 GM's would have taken Oden #1. He was like a David Robinson/Hakeem level, can't-miss big prospect. Injuries slowed him down too much, so it's not fair to say taking him was a mistake. I'd argue that of those, Arujao was the most ridiculous. Or Joe Alexander. But since I'm a Wolves fan, I shudder when I think of a potential Wolves lineup of Rubio-Curry-George-Love-Pek. Instead, Jonny Flynn and Wes Johnson. Yaaaaaaaay

The title is draft mistakes

The title is draft mistakes so even if 32 out of 32 would have taken Oden it's still a mistake to take him over Durant.

Health

Let's imagine that health were not part of the equation. Kevin Durant was a very strong prospect along the lines of T-Mac. Oden was a once-in-a-generation talent; Oden was the best C prospect since David Robinson, and had the potential to be a game-changing franchise talent on a championship team. It was absolutely not a mistake to take the stronger prospect. It's not their fault that Oden had such bad luck with his health, it's just dumb luck/cruel fate.

Boston

Doc and Danny Ainge would have taken KD first overall. Everyone else on the planet, Oden.

Letting Stephon Curry fall

Letting Stephon Curry fall pass two of your top 7 picks is pretty stupid. I could see one but two picks. At least Rubio is actually good but Curry is great.

Also Adam Morrison picks was pretty dumb too. Regardless of people saying he was hurt, he had no position really and his rookie stats were because they gave him big minutes on a bad team.

He's probably the best player

He's probably the best player on the list but I agree with Marvin Williams. I was sure the Hawks were going to take Deron WIlliams, Chris Paul or even Raymond Felton as they were badly in need of a PG and they had just spent not one but two 1st round picks on athletic forwards who showed excellent potential in Josh Smith and Childress (before he went to Greece and forgot how to play). I thought it was dumb then and I know its dumb now seeing how those Paul and Williams have developed.

Hell I think Tyronn Lue was their starting point guard...
