University of Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin has landed a commitment from New York shooting guard Keith Williams.

Shooting guard/wing Keith Williams of Brooklyn, New York gave an oral commitment to the University of Cincinnati men's basketball program Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Williams is rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com and the No. 169 player overall in composite ratings of the 2017 high school class. The website also rates Williams the No. 38 shooting guard nationally and the No. 5 prospect in New York.

Dayton and Oklahoma State also were among top contenders for Williams, according to 247Sports.

Williams played for New York City team New Heights in AAU ball this summer and averaged 15 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, according to Scout.com.
