Blazers first predraft workout features one first-round hopeful

North Texas forward Tony Mitchell is among six NBA draft hopefuls who worked out for the Blazers on Thursday.

of the offseason with an eye on second-round talent.

The Blazers welcomed hosted six NBA Draft hopefuls and just one is projected to be a first-round selection:

, a 6-foot-8 forward from North Texas.

The rest of Thursday’s visitors — who are vying for one of the Blazers’ three second-round draft picks — include: Richard Howell, a 6-8 forward from North Carolina State; Dexter Strickland, a 6-3 guard from North Carolina; Adonis Thomas, a 6-7 forward from Memphis; BJ Young, a 6-3 guard from Arkansas; and James Ennis, a 6-7 guard/forward from Long Beach State.
