Before Kwe'shaun Parker could even get into a PG-13 movie, he was wrecking rims. His first dunk came at the ripe old age of 12.

"The gym just went crazy,” the Wesleyan Christian Academy guard recalled. “But I was very shocked myself."

Since then, Parker's reputation as a skywalker has soared along with his back-door alley-oops.

Some 18-year-olds make mix tapes. Fayetteville native Parker stars in them.

"Everywhere I go, somebody wants me to do a dunk somewhere," he said.

Parker's been featured on ESPN's SportsCenter Top Plays not once but twice.

He even takes requests, within reason.

“Somebody said the other day do a between the legs, windmill, 360,” Parker recalls. “I said, 'Whoa, that's crazy!'"

Parker's viral videos have caught the eye of college scouts too. He is being courted by Wake Forest, Miami and Florida State, among others.

The perception of Parker as a slam-jam juggernaut has drawbacks, too.

"My recruiting process is not as hot as it should be because of dunking,” Parker says. “On the videos, people don't put my full game on there. You just see a lot of dunking."

He doesn't want to be pigeon-holed as just an aerial artiste.

How would he describe himself?

“Not a dunker. Just a basketball player with bounce,” Parker says.

That bounce is a 45-inch vertical jump.
