Mid Major Preview

Our college blogs are broken into seven parts, with one for each of the Power 5 (ACC, SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and Pac 12) plus the Big East and my "Mid Major Blog" which will cover everything else. Mid-Major schools are generally the teams that will bust your bracket. They also consistently turn overlooked recruits into stars. Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and CJ McCollum are just a few of the recent Mid-Major examples to make a huge impact in the NBA. Here are some of the teams and players to be on the lookout for as the season gets underway.

2018 Extended Mock Draft 1.0

The 2018 NBA draft is shaping up to be an exceptional one. While the depth in the lottery may not be as strong, in particular picks 6-10 as the acclaimed 2017 draft, the strength of the top 5 is considerably stronger. With new NBA rules in place to combat tanking, it will be interesting to see if they actually dissuade teams from doing so once their playoff hopes dissipate. With the NBA season set to kick off in a couple weeks and the college season a few weeks later, here is a first look at the 2018 mock draft with descriptions and comparisons for each prospect.
