New York 77 (0-1) Memphis 93 (1-0)
Day 2 tipped off with the Memphis Grizzlies making a strong start to 2012 Summer League with a 93-77 win over the New York Knicks. Memphis was led by 2nd year player Josh Selby who shot the ball well from long range, finishing with 20 Points (5/7 3fg). He was well supported by 25th Pick Tony Wroten who was impressive in his pro debut.
Washington 82 Atlanta 102
After a year off, the NBA Summer League returned to Las Vegas with Atlanta and Washington kicking off this year’s schedule. Even though Kobe, Lebron & Durant had skipped town after pumping the Dominican Republic less than 24 hours ago, a strong crowd was on hand at Cox Pavilion to see the Hawks beat the Wizards 102-82.
Here is a look at the 24 college "counselors" that competed between July 6-8 at the LeBron James Skills Academy. The college prospects went through stations and played in scrimmages that were on courts adjacent to one another so it was difficult to see everyone at all times, but here are some notes and impressions from the event after watching and speaking with NBA scouts during and after the event. In the world of the NBA, things can certainly change quickly. Within a matter of days, the futures of multiple NBA franchises have been altered for better or for worse. Some trades came as no surprise, simply confirming rumours that had been swirling around for weeks. But the fun trades are always the ones that nobody saw coming- the ones that cause NBA fans around the world to do a double take when seeing a headline that comes as a genuine shock. As with every trade period, there will be winners and losers.

Each year, after the conclusion of the NBA Draft, many prognosticators and fans alike will look over their draft boards and draw notice to the fact that a player they really thought highly of somehow was never picked. All too often, players come back with a vengeance on someone’s summer league team and ultimately make it impossible for that team to release them.
Here are five names of players that could navigate the road less traveled into the NBA next season.
