A case could be made that MKG, and not teammate Anthony Davis, is in fact the top player in the nation. While Davis gets more hype, with his freakish length and shot blocking prowess, Kidd-Gilchrist is the heart and soul and possibly the team's most indispensable player.

The 2012 Nike Hoop Summit USA squad is highlighted by Shabazz Muhammad, Nerlens Noel, Kyle Anderson and Mitch McGary. The International team is highlighted by holdovers from last year's team Dario Saric and Evan Fournier. The game takes place in Portland, OR on April 7th.
