While much of the attention this week has been focused on big name rookies such as John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins, as well as past lottery picks such as Demar Derozan and Hasheem Thabeet, the participants with the most to prove may in fact be the members of the NBA Development League. By my count there were 49 players in Las Vegas who spent last season in the D-League and are not currently signed to NBA contracts, 11 were named to the D-League Select team while 38 others were able to secure invitations by NBA teams.
John Jenkins was a consensus top 10 prep guard who has quickly blossomed into one of the nation's premiere shooters. Jenkins recently updated NBADraft.net on his offseason routine and planning for the upcoming season.

The New York Knicks improved their summer league record to 2-2, picking up a 92-80 win over the Detroit Pistons in game 1 of day 8. New York's free agent signing Amare Stoudamire was in attendance to see Bill Walker lead the Knicks with 19 points, 4 rebs, 5 assists, 2stls and a block.
San Antonio Spurs (4-0) 80 vs. Los Angeles Lakers (0-5) 71
After 5 games, the excellent play of second round picks Derrick Caracter and Devin Ebanks wasn’t enough to get the Lakers a single win in this year’s summer league, with the San Antonio Spurs taking an 80-71 victory in the first game of Day 7.
