2010 EASports Maui Invitational Top Prospects

Behind hall of fame head coach Jim Calhoun, who looks like he's cut out to be a gun slinger from a old Western movie and their take charge dynamo point guard Kemba Walker, unranked UConn surprised everyone topping #2 Michigan State and #9 Kentucky in the final to claim the 2010 EASports Maui Invitational. This year's event featured numerous upsets and close match ups proving once again to be the premiere preseason college basketball tournament. The following is a look at the top prospects in the tourney from an NBA scouting perspective.

The preseason tourneys are giving college hoops fans a lot of great games early in the year. Michigan State plays Duke on December 1st in what could be a preview of the National Championship game. Maui Invitational Day 1 Recap

EA Sports Maui Invitational Day 1

This year's Maui Invitational features one of the strongest fields ever. We got a chance to see North Carolina win this event two years ago before cutting down the nets as national champions. Michigan State will look to do the same this year. However, winning this event won't be a cakewalk with a Tuesday match up set with UConn and a potential Wednesday match up with either Washington or Kentucky. Here is a recap of day 1.
