2009 Extended Mock 3.0

Mon, 06/22/2009 - 10:37pm

With 2 days until the draft, the first round has become crystal clear... Errrr, actually this remains one of the most difficult drafts to project as no one has any idea what Memphis will do (including them) at 2, which will have a direct effect on the picks after it. Headlined by perhaps the draft's top two talents, the 2009 power forward class comes up short in depth. As a result, most of the better players are established college veterans, almost entirely lacking upside. Still, there might just be a few sleepers who drift into the second round and prove capable of making an immediate impact.

Team Needs: Pacific Division

Mon, 06/22/2009 - 12:08am

The champion Lakers made it out of the Pacific division as the only playoff team. It clearly didn’t hurt them for their playoff run. Next year won’t be the same. Shaq aka The Big Cactus has a team of veterans in Phoenix, the Clippers have the 1st pick in the draft, and Golden State is loaded with talent. Kobe’s Lakers ripped through the Pacific last year with a 14-2 record, but next year should be much more challenging with nearly every team on the rise.
