NBA Comparison: Kiki Vandeweghe

Aran Smith - 9/6/2007

Strengths: The thing that stands out most about Singler is his great feel for the game Hes a versatile forward with an inside/outside game ala Dirk Nowitzki, only hes 5 inches shorter He has a natural ability to play the game, making the right play and elevating his teammates with great vision and passing ability Always seems a step ahead with his great anticipation Has an excellent shot with range out to three point Very fluid, with good length Has a bag of tricks offensively with the ability to score on the break as well as in the half court set His shot off the dribble and offensive moves around the basket are polished Competitive kid, doesnt back down, terrific attitude

Weaknesses: Singlers athletic ability is good, but not off the charts. Hes able to hang with elite level athletes using his head and high skill level Needs to get stronger physically, but hes not too far away and shouldnt have long term issues with strength His foot speed both laterally and first step off the dribble are below average, which means that he will likely never be more than an average defender and his ability to create shots for himself could suffer as defenders will play him for the jump shot Must improve his ability to create off the dribble ...

Notes: Has received comparisons to both Larry Bird and Dirk Nowitzki Has a great deal of potential as a pro and will look to follow in the footsteps of past wing forwards Grant Hill, Shane Battier and Mike Dunleavy at Duke
