NBA Comparison: Michael Doleac
Strengths: Slovenian center Gasper Vidmar is benefiting from really quality playtime with Turkish powerhouse and Euroleague participant Fenerbahce lker Istanbul (several times in starting 5), enabling him the chance to give a continuation to his developing potential ... Brings good intensity and awareness to the court, playing tough, setting good picks, which he adds to his good upper body and quite strong arms and legs ... Able to finish with good percentages inside due to a good balance and quality hands, he's also an okay passer and can even put the ball on the floor in the post ... Even though he needs to continue working on his low post skills, he's certainly able to make noise on the block and enjoys a soft touch ... Defensively he's decent too, taking care of his weak side positioning as well as his boxing out in rebound situations.

Weaknesses: Of course he has important limitations with (by NBA standards) really average speed, athleticism, agility and quickness ... Another downside is shown in his quite weak outside shooting (14ft range) and the fact that he's not much of an intimidator in the paint. His upside is limited, but his blue collar work ethic and style is valued.

Outlook: Vidmar surely has a bright future ahead of him, already being able to offer a valuable contribution to most of the Euroleague teams. However, that might probably be his ceiling as well. Maybe in a shallow draft, he might be worth a late second round pick.
