  1. Do the guys without the shoes

Do the guys without the shoes measurement not wear shoes to the combine?  Or the w/o shoes measurements (paired with the 000 w/ shoes measurements) are actually the w/shoes one?

  3. Just add an inch and a half to player’s listed height

They do wear shoes, it’s just that some players choose to measure without shoes so for that portion of the measure they take their shoes off get measured, then put them back on and go through the rest of the combine shoes. I heard say that shoes usually add about an inch and a half to a players height. So for the players that chose to not wear shoes for the small section of the measurements portion just add an inch and a half to their listed height and you will get their true height. (No one plays basketball barefoot or even with just socks on)

    • no one plays bball without shoes…

This has always bothered me for some reason. Nobody plays hockey without skates, baseball without spikes, football without cleats etc…just weird & misleading to list roster heights in shoes. Basketball players are ginormous enough as it is lol

Smart is the biggest 6’2 EVER, haha,  he’s heavier than guys like bosh and noah when they were drafted as 6’11+…18 pounds lighter, 5 inches shorter than a young lebron.

Vonleh, except for the 6’8 WOS, is an absolut octopus at 18 YO(he’ll continue to grow), i knew for the weight(he has great lower body strength at this young age, C lower body strength), the huge wingspan compared to his height and the hands(it’s only 2nd all time at 18YO).

But at the same time I tought he was unathletic and slow footed, because of his heavy legs…

    Results:

He’s faster than russ smith and semaj christon in the agility-sprint drills…

He has a 37 inches max vert, despite his 247 pounds.

And there’s only 12 nba players in the last 12 years with a better max reach, only two of them were heavier than him, greg oden and miles plumlee, Oden was a 7 footer with a 9’4 standing reach, plumlee was a 7 footer and also a 24 YO grown men.

Only freak athletes or taller athletes(D12-McGEE-gortat-plumlee-oden-perry jones), or your typical 220 pounders leapers ala Gay, smith, tyrus thomas, warrick, solomon jones.

Vonleh should draw comparisons to al horford IMO as a PF-C.
