USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Mississippi Boys Basketball Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2014-15 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Greg Carter, Starkville
Carter led a balanced team to the Class 6A state title, the program’s first championship since 2010. This season’s team gained momentum in January, when it knocked off eventual 4A champ McComb, ending that school’s 34-game win streak.

FIRST TEAM

Player of the Year
Malik Newman, G, Callaway (Jackson), 6-3/180, Sr.
Newman, a McDonald’s All-American and two-time Mississippi Mr. Basketball, averaged 29.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists as a senior. He scored 27 points in the Class 5A state final and finished his high school career with four straight state titles.
